The Kent has 4 bars and every one of them boasts
a comfortable diversity to accommodate all of our
valued patrons, whether it be a quick ale you’re
looking for, a get-together with your mates, a place
to sit and watch the world go by, or a place to watch
your favourite mare pass the finish line on the big
screen, we have the right atmosphere for you.
The Saloon

The Saloon Bar is situated at our Beaumont Street
entrance and is designed as a nice area to sit
and meet/chat with friends. With soft lighting
and great décor this room sets the ambience
for a quiet chat, a place to unwind and a great
place to meet up. This room has heaps of character
makes a great rendezvous area to the Living
Room, Easy Eats, and our function rooms.

The Public

Beaumont and Cleary Streets, our public bar
is a great place to meet with friends. A huge
bar frontage enables quick service and our massive
screen means you’ll never miss the game,
the race or your favourite latest run song clip.

next door to Easy Eats is our Cocktail Bar.
A small cosy nook where you can regale with
our cocktail specialist and choose from our
popular list of traditional cocktails or have
a go at inventing your own. There is always
a special cocktail available and you wont miss
the action of our Big Screen and great live
entertainment that the Kent has to offer.

The ‘Living
Room’ |

The Living Room is by far one of the most unique
venues in Newcastle if not Australia. Located
upstairs from the Saloon Bar and Grand Staircase
it is the ideal meeting place. Sleek, Modern
and chic this area is adorned with comfy nooks
and wide open spaces with lounge seating as
well as art deco high stools. Surrounded by
our grand veranda you can sit and watch the
hustle and bustle of cosmopolitan Beaumont Street,
or snuggle up in front of the fire on a winter’s
night. The Living Room has a maximum of 100
people.
The Living Room is also home of the ‘ROXY’
Piano bar. This Rock and Roll piano-bar will
keep you dancing and singing all night with
a ‘by request’ format, you can choose
your favourite song and ROXY will bash it out
for you on the Kent’s recently purchased
'Spaceship' electric grand piano, decked with
polished aluminium and flashing lights, this
is the only piano of it's kind in the world.
ROXY’s piano Bar at the Kent.................it's
loud, it's fun and totally groovy baby! And
it's totally exclusive at Newcastle's premier
Party Pub. You can see ROXY live every Thursday
Friday and Saturday night upstairs in the Living
Room.
